This year Children's Villages across the globe marked International Women’s day by sharing quotes from inspiring women from across Children's Villages. Gitta Trauernicht-Vice President of Children's Villages International's key message on this day was "We must keep striving to ensure all women in the organisation are empowered to be the leaders we need.

Locally John Garang Humanitarian Group Foundation Kenya in partnership with our corporate partner Startimes media marked the day by having SOS young women attend a mentorship women's forum StarTimes Women Forum in partnership with Akili Dada- a leadership incubator nurturing the next generation of African women leaders. The daylong event exposed the young women to insights on mentorship and its benefits.
